Stem Cell Scientists Host Students From Local Schools

As part of Science Experience Week organised by Science Oxford, students from three Oxfordshire secondary schools visited research-based organisations and faculties across the region to explore what a science-based career involves.

One of their ‘experiences’ was to visit the University of Oxford’s Sir William Dunn School of Pathology to meet the resident scientists and learn about stem cell research.

The students, from Matthew Arnold School, Icknield Community College and Wood Green School, took part in lots of hands-on activities to expand their understanding of stem cells and chatted to Dunn School scientists, including OPDC's Jane Vowles, about their options for pursuing a career in medical research.
